About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. The objectives of treatment are to facilitate, restore and/or maintain clients' optimal level of function. The Occupational Therapist provides intervention to address clients' occupational performance components (physical, cognitive and/or affective). The Occupational Therapist provides education and support to clients, families and caregivers. The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital and/or community health care team.

The Occupational Therapist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
  • BCLS certification
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication, creativity, problem solving and organizational skills is required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent Full Time; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$38.43 - $49.74 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
