Job description

We have a permanent part-time (0.40 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening supporting Long-term Care clients in Keremeos, B.C. This position is scheduled alongside a (0.50 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening in the Community Care team, combining to a total 0.90 FTE permanent position. About The Position

The occupational therapist works independently and as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, providing inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community occupational therapy services. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients and their caregivers to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes. The therapist contributes to organizational and departmental goals, participates in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education, and provides work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
