Job summary

St.Joseph's Home Care in Hamilton, Ontario, seeks an Occupational Therapist to help clients achieve and maintain functional independence in their homes.

You will assess, plan, and implement rehabilitation programs, educate clients and caregivers, collaborate with healthcare teams, and supervise OTA/PTA staff. The role offers full-time permanent work with a salary range of CA$70,500 to CA$86,500 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and COTO registration.
• Current BCLS/HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic assessments of cognitive, physical, perceptual, and emotional function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate clients and caregivers on therapy goals, exercises, and adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and care coordination.
• Supervise OTA/PTA staff and mentor students as needed.
• Support clients with complex medical conditions in their homes.
