The position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide client-centered care, assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating services for clients requiring community-based support. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and other health organizations, education, counseling, and ensuring continuity of care.
Education, Training, and Experience: Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy, current licensure with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, eligibility for CAOT membership, three years of recent related experience including two in community health, and a valid BC Driver's License.
Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of community health practices, ability to apply occupational therapy standards, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency with computer systems relevant to healthcare documentation.
