Occupational Therapist – Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR) – a division of Lifemark

Currently hiring for: Barrie

Lifemark’s Home and Community Care division, Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR), is looking for Registered Occupational Therapists to complete Independent Living Services (ILS) assessments throughout Ontario. These assessments are conducted in the residential homes of injured workers. This is a casual, part-time opportunity based on referrals.

OT Responsibilities:

  • Complete in-depth assessments such as Personal Care Needs, Home Safety, Home Accessibility, and Mobility Assessments.
  • Develop comprehensive reports including assessment findings, recommendations, and service plans following CAR, referral source, and COTO standards.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional team members, community resources, and referral sources as needed.

Applicants must be in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists. To perform mobility assessments, being an Assistive Devices (ADP) Authorizer is required, but this is not necessary to apply.

  • Referrals will be within your preferred geographic area.
  • Assessments can be scheduled at your convenience in collaboration with clients.
