Job summary

Infinity Health in Abbotsford, Canada is hiring an Occupational Therapist to join a community-based interdisciplinary care team. You will provide disability management services, conduct musculoskeletal, psychosocial, cognitive and functional assessments, and perform home safety and modification assessments.

You will develop client-centered, evidence-based OT plans, supervise Rehab Assistants or Kinesiologists, collaborate with doctors and insurers, and conduct worksite visits and return-to-work

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Eligibility for Provisional or Full Registration with the provincial OT college.
  • Professional liability insurance upon start date.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide disability management services as part of a community based interdisciplinary care model.
  • Conduct musculoskeletal, psychosocial, cognitive and functional assessments.
  • Perform home safety and home modification assessments.
  • Develop and implement Occupational Therapy treatment plans that are client centered, evidence based and focused on physical, cognitive and psychological recovery.
  • Utilize and supervise Rehabilitation Assistants or Kinesiologists during service delivery.
  • Collaborate with doctors, healthcare providers, employers and insurance adjusters to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conduct worksite based services, including job site visits, ergonomic assessments and return to work planning and monitoring.
  • Formulate detailed reports and recommend services based on assessment findings.

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy
Eligibility for Provisional or Full Registration with the provincial OT college (COTBC, ACOT or COTO)
Professional liability insurance
Valid driver's license

Your RoleAs an Occupational Therapist you will:
