Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized Post Secondary program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Experience with pediatric and/or adult care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and build therapy care plans based on client environments.
  • Develop health promotion programs and prescribe necessary equipment.
  • Partner with family members and other professionals regarding treatment goals.

Job description

We are looking for a Occupational Therapist ( ForPediatric and Adults ) that can bring their integrated approach in therapy services to our clients’ homes and schools in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph region.

What you will be doing :

  • Change your clients’ lives in the comfort of their homes. You will assess and build an accurate therapy care plan based on the real environment of our client.
  • No more second-guessing on what’s best for them. This includes but is not limited to developing health promotion programs, prescribing equipment and supplies, promoting client safety
  • Creativity and Adaptability. You will exert critical thinking to provide complex preventative or corrective actions for a variety of clients with diverse needs. You will solve problems that interfere with their ability to do things that are important to them
  • Partner with our client’s family members, caregivers, and other health care professionals regarding their treatment goals and service plans
  • Because we use a hybrid model of care, including face-to-face and virtual, you can build a schedule that works for you and your client.
  • We value an independent and flexible OT while providing dedicated support, mentorship, and training system with a stable team from multi-disciplines.

Skills needed for success :

  • Graduate of a recognized Post Secondary program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current active registration and is in good standing as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Pediatric and / or adults Care experience.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License and the use of a reliable vehicle
