Position Status: Regular Full Time Location: Sarcee, C3 Clinic Community BW Hours:77.50 FTE: 1.00 Shift: Days Shift Times: 0800-1615 Union: HSAA Rate of Pay: $ 38.90 - $ 51.80 PCN: C3OT002

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for providing ambulatory client care through focused assessment, treatment, and discharge planning in an outpatient multidisciplinary setting. It will contribute to the client’s quality of life and maintenance of independence in their home environment through the provisions of appropriate interventions to maximize safety and functional independence. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Program summary:

Comprehensive Community Care (C3) Program – is a unique, ambulatory, long-term maintenance and support program for seniors who live independently in Calgary. Integrated and coordinated care is provided onsite at the Day Centre via a multidisciplinary team Monday through Friday, including PT, OT, RecT, SW, Pharmacy, nursing, and physician support. Clients may access 24 hour Medical support (MD and Nursing) after hours. The program offering also entails full day programming while at the Centre, transportation assistance, and access to a 24hr inpatient treatment bed. Home care services are provided in partnership with AHS Home Care.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT);

- Eligible for membership in CAOT; AADL Authorizer is an asset.

- Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.

New grad/provisional occupational therapists welcome.
