Job Summary And Requirements

This competition is for one (1) Occupational Therapist, working 75 hours biweekly.

This is a 12-month term with an anticipatory permanent possibility.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide a broad range of occupational therapy services to students in the public school system across the Yukon including consultation assessments, intervention, and assistance with program development for students. This position also participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to assist schools, parents, and caregivers in supporting students with special learning needs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in occupational therapy from a recognized institution
  • Registered with an approved college of occupational therapy
  • Experience completing standardized OT assessments and recommendations for school-aged youth with difficulties in areas such as fine motor, visual motor, regulation, sensory processing, self-care, and activities of daily living and mobility.
  • Experience in being part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team would be an asset.

Additional information

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

  • Class 5 driver's licence or equivalent
  • Security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
