Job summary

Two Can Talk in Vaughan is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a busy multidisciplinary clinic. The role offers part-time or casual hours with evening and weekend shifts required. Clinicians with provisional licenses are not mentored at this time, but experienced OTs are welcomed.

Compensation ranges from $93–$105 per hour, with extended health benefits and access to courses and workshops. The clinic features 13 treatment rooms and a collaborative team of SLPs, SLPAs, and OTs.

• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration in good standing with COTO.
• Professional Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Consultation, screening, and evidence-based assessment and treatment of clients with various needs.
• Design a treatment plan using SMART goals, evidence-based information, guidelines, and clinical expertise.
• Provide client- and family-centered intervention by building rapport with caregivers and ongoing education.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needs change.
• Collaborate with colleagues across professions.
• Manage own caseload and keep complete therapy records in the EMR.

Join Our Dynamic Clinic in Vaughan! Two Can Talk is excited to welcome an enthusiastic Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to our multidisciplinary clinic! Whether you're seeking a part-time position to complement your current job, or casual hours, we have exciting opportunities for you. Please note, we do not provide initial mentorship for clinicians with provisional license at this time.

This position requires availability for at least one evening shift (Wednesday or Thursday) and one weekend shift (our clinic is open until 3:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays).

The successful candidate will have 1+ years of experience assessing and treating children in the following areas:

Primary Responsibilities

• Consultation, screening, and evidence based assessment and treatment of clients with various needs
• Design a treatment plan using SMART goals, evidence-based information, relevant best practice guidelines, and clinical expertise
• Provide client and family centred intervention by building strong rapport with caregivers, with ongoing training and education
• Monitor client progress towards goal attainment and have the agility to adjust treatment plans according to changing needs
• Collaborate with colleagues across professions
• Manage own caseload and maintain complete records of therapy using our electronic charting system, in accordance with COTO regulations
