Qualifications:

• Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
• Accepting new graduates; licensed
• 1-3 years of experience required
• Experience with clients with physical, mental health, or neurological conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation (asset)
• Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals (asset)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities:

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
• Educating clients on pacing, pain management, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and task modification to improve function
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians, and psychologists
• Participating in case conferences and case management
• Supporting return-to-work programs
• Documenting treatment sessions using e-charting software and submitting reports in a timely manner
• Managing caseloads in a fast-paced environment
