Qualifications:
- Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists
- Accepting new graduates; licensed
- 1-3 years of experience required
- Experience with clients with physical, mental health, or neurological conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation (asset)
- Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals (asset)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
- Educating clients on pacing, pain management, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and task modification to improve function
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians, and psychologists
- Participating in case conferences and case management
- Supporting return-to-work programs
- Documenting treatment sessions using e-charting software and submitting reports in a timely manner
- Managing caseloads in a fast-paced environment
