Occupational Therapist
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role plays a key part in promoting health, preventing illness, and supporting patients in achieving and maintaining optimal function and independence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver therapeutic interventions for a varied caseload in alignment with the Occupational Therapy scope of practice.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on physical, cognitive, and emotional patient needs.
- Implement therapy to improve mobility, self-care, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and physiotherapists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of Occupational Therapy services.
- Practice in accordance with the standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists and applicable organizational policies.
- Provide education and consultation to clients, families, caregivers, and external partners.
- Participate in team meetings, inter-professional clinics, rounds, and care conferences.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to organizational initiatives.
- Adhere to infection control practices and workplace safety regulations.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Authorization through the Ministry of Health Assistive Devices Program.
- Current certification in BCLS and First Aid.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.

- Proven experience applying best practices in occupational therapy with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a patient-centered model of care.
