The Occupational Therapist, under the supervision of the Manager of Rehabilitation or Clinical Manager, is responsible for:

  • Assessing, treating, educating, and managing clients requiring Occupational Therapy, according to professional standards

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients, develop and evaluate treatment plans, set goals, and plan discharges
  • Maintain accurate clinical records per College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members
  • Communicate with clients and care providers; provide education on treatment strategies
  • Supervise and guide assistants in the Occupational Therapy program

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities
  • Follow Bayshore policies and procedures
  • Engage in health & safety initiatives; report risks or concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information
  • Perform additional duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Preference for at least three years of experience, including in-home assessments and treatments

Note: Depending on provincial regulations and the specific position, proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID-19, Hepatitis, and Seasonal Flu may be required.
