Job description

A relief (temporary) part-time 0.92 FTE Occupational Therapist position is available in the Community team in Kelowna. This role is expected to run until June 2026. The OT must have a valid BC driver's license and a vehicle for work purposes. Shift hours are 08:30 to 16:30 and 09:00 to 17:00. The position involves split responsibilities between the Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) team (0.5 FTE) and the Complex Care Housing team (0.4 FTE).

About The Position

The occupational therapist works both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, providing inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community occupational therapy services. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education for clients and their caregivers to promote functional independence and health outcomes. The OT contributes to departmental goals, participates in quality assurance, meetings, research, and provides work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
