Job summary

NeuroWise Edmonton ADHD Centre invites an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary clinic. You will support children, teens and adults with ADHD and executive functioning challenges, translating evidence-based strategies into practical daily routines.

NeuroWise Edmonton ADHD Centre is seeking a thoughtful and collaborative Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary clinic. This role offers the opportunity to support children, adolescents, and adults navigating ADHD and related challenges through practical, strengths-based strategies.

Our Centre brings together multiple disciplines in one place so individuals and families can access coordinated care that reflects the complexity of real life. Occupational therapists play a key role in helping clients develop the daily skills, routines, and regulation strategies that support success at home, school, work, and in relationships.

Edmonton, AB Part-Time / Full-Time Contract / Flexible ADHD-Focused Care

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist will support individuals experiencing ADHD and executive functioning challenges by helping them build practical skills for daily functioning.

This may include support with:

  • organization and planning
  • emotional regulation
  • sensory processing
  • task initiation and completion
  • routines and daily structure

Therapy may involve working directly with children, teens, adults, and families to develop strategies that improve independence, participation, and well-being.

This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys translating therapeutic strategies into real-life solutions that work in everyday environments.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services

Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for ADHD and executive functioning challenges

Support clients with organization, time management, and planning skills

Develop individualized strategies for emotional regulation and daily functioning

Guide sensory processing and environmental supports

Work with families to implement practical strategies at home

Executive Function Support

Occupational therapy can be particularly helpful for ADHD by supporting skills such as:

  • task initiation
  • planning and prioritization
  • time management
  • self-regulation
  • adaptive daily routines

Therapists help clients translate strategies into practical routines that fit real life.

Collaborate with other clinicians including:

  • ADHD coaches
  • speech-language pathologists

Participate in case consultations when appropriate

Contribute to integrated care planning

Professional Practice

Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Follow professional and ethical guidelines

Stay current with ADHD research and evidence-based interventions

Participate in program development, workshops, or group programs when appropriate

Qualifications
Required

Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)

Degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience providing therapy or assessment services

Strong communication and documentation skills

A thoughtful, client-centred, strengths-based approach

Experience delivering group programs or workshops

Preferred

Experience working with ADHD or executive functioning challenges

Experience supporting children, adolescents, or adults with neurodivergent needs
