Position at CannAmm

Job Summary

The role of the Occupational Testing Collector is to create value for CannAmm and its customers through superior customer service. The Occupational Testing Collector ensures clients feel secure, valued, and respected throughout all processes. This position is part of the CannAmm Operations Team, assigned within the CannAmm network, and may include medical surveillance, mobile testing, RSAP, and on-call rotation (24/7). The Occupational Testing Collector reports directly to the Collection Site Supervisor/Manager of Collection Site Services. This supervisor or manager is the first point of contact regarding operational workflow, quality, safety, customer service, and administration (e.g., timesheets, scheduling). The role involves daily interaction with team members and clients within the CannAmm network.


Location: Edmonton North, AB

Employment Type: Contract Full-Time (ends September 26, 2025)

Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1600; includes on-call and shy bladder rotation (37.5 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing in-office, including sample collection, integrity testing, testing/shipping samples, and reporting to DER.
  • Perform audiometric testing, vision screening, mask fit testing (using Portacount), and spirometry testing.
  • May perform phlebotomy.
  • Participate in mobile testing using mobile units/trucks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and records.
  • Provide rotational on-call services, including drug/alcohol testing and health surveillance services.
  • Handle web booking requests promptly, coordinate occupational testing via outbound calls, and document all call information per SOPs.
  • Assist with reception duties, data entry, booking appointments, tracking results, and other administrative tasks.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience
  • High School Diploma.
  • Willing to obtain certification as a DOT Collector with BAT Certification.
  • Current audiometric and spirometry technician certificates or willingness to obtain.
  • Phlebotomy certification required.
  • Previous customer service experience in health-related fields is an asset.
  • Travel to other local collection sites may be required.
  • Ability to be on-call during evenings and weekends; reliable transportation is essential.

  • Proficient with Cantrak and Site Scheduler.
  • Organized with a valid Class 5 driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required.
