Job summary

Yukon Hospitals is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to promote and protect employee health, safety and well‑being across multiple Yukon facilities. The OHN provides clinical assessment, immunization and health surveillance, working with staff, leaders and healthcare teams.

The ideal candidate holds a BN/BScN or equivalent, is eligible for Yukon RN registration, and has 3–5 years’ experience in occupational health, infection prevention, or related areas, with CPR/BLS current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing (BN, BScN, or equivalent) and eligible for registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA).
• Valid Yukon RN practice licence prior to commencing practice.
• Three to five years of recent nursing experience in occupational health or related areas.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Certification in occupational health nursing or related training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health nursing services to promote and protect the health, safety and well‑being of employees, medical staff, volunteers and contractors.
• Assess and manage employee health, communicable disease, occupational exposure, immunization and health surveillance.
• Promote workplace health and safety and support return‑to‑work processes.
