Suncor is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to support health services at the Sarnia refinery in Ontario, ensuring quality care for employees and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Health & Safety professionals.

The role focuses on wellness initiatives, health surveillance, and managing on-site clinic activities, with on-call hours roughly 2–4 days weekly and potential for extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary nursing education required.
• Registered Nurse with current CNO registration in good standing.
• Five or more years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced First Aid (ITLS, CPR level C) and BLS healthcare provider.
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse is an asset.
• Experience in health surveillance testing (audiometry, spirometry) and programs; and conducting new hire medicals.
• Experience in disability case management and return to work programs.

Responsibilities

• Execute wellness strategies and initiatives while ensuring a high standard of quality, integrity and value of health services.
• Perform health surveillance programs including health evaluations.
• Attend to medical emergencies as requested by the on-duty Emergency Coordinator, per medical procedures approved by the medical director.
• Health consultation for fitness for work and injury/illness management.
• Support and lead wellness and education/training strategies.
• Collect and analyze confidential medical records and information.
• Support disability case management and facilitate return-to-work programs; liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Manage onsite clinic daily standard work.

Hourly Rate: $52-$57/hour

Hourly rates are included for job postings where required by law. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Minimum Requirements

• A post-secondary education in nursing
• Registered Nurse with current registration and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Five or more years of experience in a similar role

• Support disability case management and facilitate return to work programs as well as liaising and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders
• Manage onsite clinic daily standard work

Location & Other Key Details

• You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
• Hours of work are casual on call, approximately 2-4 days per week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
