Job summary

Finning is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse/Advanced Care Paramedic in Edmonton to deliver in-house healthcare, including injury care, health surveillance, and wellbeing support for employees and contractors.

You will coordinate emergency response, health education, disability management collaboration, and compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining confidential records and contributing to wellness programs.

Qualifications

Nursing or Advanced Care Paramedic degree and licensure.
Experience in occupational health and safety programs is preferred.
Ability to conduct health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency, medical or first aid care in the workplace and coordinate further care when needed.
Support injury investigations and follow-up activities including fitness-for-work assessments.
Coordinate health surveillance, screenings and industrial hygiene monitoring programs.
Educate employees on health and wellbeing and provide counselling guidance.
Collaborate with Ability Management for disability and return-to-work plans.
Develop and deliver employee health and wellness programs.
Monitor compliance with health, safety, and workers’ compensation regulations.
Maintain confidential health records in compliance with laws and company policies.
Support First Aider program and review first aid procedures.
Assist in creating Job Demands Analyses (JDAs).
