Job description

Role Description

This is a full-time independent contractor role located in Ajax, Ontario, for an Occupational Health Nurse. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for coordinating and providing occupational health services to clients, conducting health assessments and screenings, and developing and implementing programs to promote employee health and safety. The Occupational Health Nurse will also provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety issues and ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred but not required)
Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, or working towards certification, is an asset
Disability Management (short term, long term) and working with WCB are a must
Experience in occupational health and safety, disease management, and health promotion
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in using computers and related software applications
French language skills are not required
