We have an exciting opportunity for a OHS advisor to join our OHS team in Eastern Canada. The OHS Advisor plays a key role in creating a safe work environment by supporting managers and workers conducting incident investigations and promoting continuous improvement. The role emphasizes injury management CNESST compliance and optimizing OHS platforms. and the companys own OHS guidelines.

What you will be responsible for :

Injury Management & Return to Work :

  • Investigate and analyze work incidents and injuries.
  • Maintain regular communication with injured workers throughout the return-to-work process.
  • Manage temporary assignments and design return-to-work plans.
  • Collaborate with the mutual insurance association for contested claims and legal obligations.
  • Ensure document and communication compliance within the CNESST platform.
  • Actively plan return-to-work initiatives to reduce lost-time duration.

Field Operations Support :

  • Conduct regular worksite inspections and participate in OHS audits.
  • Assist supervisors and workers in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participate in CNESST inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Help disseminate Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and safety talks.
  • Provide technical support to team leads and field workers.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Strategic Documentation :

  • Ensure compliance with Quebec OHS laws and CNESST regulations.
  • Support annual updates to the prevention program and action plan.
  • Maintain incident records and track corrective measures.
  • Prepare internal audits and assist with scheduled compliance checks.
  • OHS Tools Management (SALUS Juriszone SOFI etc.) :

  • Perform daily updates and monitor safety rounds in SALUS.
  • Optimize digital forms for better user experience and data quality.
  • Provide technical support to employees using the platform.
  • Ensure completeness and compliance of inspection and injury records
  • Monitor employee file compliance within SALUS.
  • Training & Awareness :

  • Train supervisors managers and workers on legal responsibilities related to OHS.
  • Assist in safety onboarding for new employees.
  • Lead info sessions on injury reporting policies SALUS platform and return-to-work program.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

  • Proficiency with SALUS or similar OHS management systems.
  • OHS certification (e.g. ASP Construction PHS) is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is highly preferred.

    Compensation Expectations

    The pay band control point for this role is $70000.00 and represents an employee that possesses full job competencies qualifications and experience for the position. Normally incumbents will be hired transferred or promoted between the minimum and the control point of the pay band for a job taking into account internal equity and experience or readiness in this job. Starting salaries above the control point may be considered to recognize exceeding experience qualifications and competencies.
