Job description

Lifemark Seniors Wellness presents an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team!

Location : Summerland, BC

Status : 16 hours/week, flexible hours available

Pay range : $55 - $65/hour

In this role, you will :

• Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments.
• Identify appropriate equipment needs and initiate recommendations.
• Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies, and other funding parties.

Provide informal education on :

• Seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs, and adaptive aides.
• Ongoing education to clients and families to improve function, independence, and safety.

• Evaluate ongoing use of restraints, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.
• Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart as per College of Occupational Therapists guidelines.

Qualifications :

• Registration with the Provincial Association of Occupational Therapists.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.

Mandatory requirements: Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check and proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance (within 6 months).
