An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated Ojibwe Language Teacher to enhance the language instruction and support the First Nation, Métis and Inuit Education Strategy. This role involves collaborating with the Regional Ojibwe Language Team and delivering engaging lessons that reflect Indigenous pedagogy. The ideal candidate will possess fluency in Ojibwe, teaching experience, and a passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment. The Ojibwe Language Teacher will provide Ojibwe language instruction and support the implementation of the York Region District School Board's First Nation, Métis and Inuit Education Strategy at northern YRDSB schools in coordination with the Regional Ojibwe Language Team, including the Ojibwe Language Coordinator.
Length of Assignment: This is for Occasional Teacher opportunities to support YRDSB’s Ojibwe Language program.

There are four steps to the selection process, each of which assesses candidates on different aspects of their leadership skills and abilities. If successful, candidates will move to the next step of the process.
The selection of the successful candidate will be based on the total score of all four steps.
