Island Health has an opening for a full-time Obstetrician/Gynecologist in the community of Duncan.
Cowichan District Hospital is a 134-bed facility in Duncan, serving 90,000 people, with 550 deliveries per year. The new Cowichan District Hospital is expected to be completed in 2027 and will bring added inpatient capacity in excess of 200 beds, as well as expanded OR and ICU capacity. We plan for state-of-the-art equipment and design. Duncan is a thriving young community with ample opportunities for a varied obstetrics/gynecology practice. We provide consultative obstetrical services to a dynamic group of family physicians and midwives. Call is 1 in 5, from home. We currently have 2 OR days per week and are seeking someone with an interest in minimally invasive surgery. Our group will get an increase in OR time with the opening of the new hospital.
