Job summary

A regional health organization is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform obstetrical and pelvic ultrasound examinations. Qualifications

• Must be certified with Sonography Canada or ARDMS.
• Experience in obstetrical and pelvic sonography is essential.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares patients for testing.
• Performs ultrasound procedures on obstetrical and pelvic areas.
• Assists in procedural rooms for examinations.
• Checks resultant images for quality.
• Facilitates workflow in the designated area.
• Monitors equipment performance and conducts quality control.
• Participates in training and orientation of new staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records.
• Engages in research and special projects.
• Reports unsafe conditions immediately.
