Job description

POSITION: OBS Commissary Attendant Summer Student
DEPARTMENT: Passenger Services
LOCATION: Cochrane
REFERENCE: 500-12B-26
SALARY: $17.75/hour

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist with food, orders and deliveries, organize storage and ensure proper rotation.
  2. Assist with the daily delivery of supplies to food service cars when the PBX train is in operation.
  3. Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing floors.
  4. Cross reference supplier invoices with actual order to ensure accuracy and payment.
  5. Assist with the coordination and shipment of dining car contents when cars are pulled out of service.
  6. Assist with tracking and monitoring commissary inventory.
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Preference given to students enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program or entering full-time post-secondary studies in September 2025.
  2. Must be able to work full-time hours (40 hours per week).
  3. Ability to work shift work and weekends.
  4. Good work ethic, energetic and enthusiastic.
  5. Works independently with little supervision.
  6. Previous cleaning/labour experience an asset.
  7. Previous customer service experience is an asset.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  9. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are fluent in both official languages (English, French) and Cree would be an asset.
  10. Valid G driver’s license.
  11. Must be committed to Health and Safety.
