Overview

OAA Architect position in Ottawa, Ontario. Salary: 115-$135k + benefits. Sector: Property development. Firm: TalentSphere is working with a property developer based in South Ottawa seeking a Revit based OAA Architect experienced in mixed-use residential projects; with a preference for candidates with laminate wood-based project experience. The ideal candidate will be 4-8 years fully licensed with A-Z, zoning through CA experience.

Responsibilities
  • A fully licensed OAA Architect; ideally licensed many years; strong in the mixed-use residential sector; wood framing experience highly valuable
  • Revit based designer with a portfolio of low to high-rise residential projects
  • A-Z experience; from schematic design to close-out; an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills; the ability to deal with hard-nosed property developers demanding functional designs in a timely manner
  • Experience dealing with consultants; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, structural engineers
  • Client facing experience making proposals; visiting sites for initial walk-throughs; dealing with CA duties : RFIs, COs, SIs, addendums, shop drawings
  • A desire to play a pivotal leadership role in a firm well positioned to grow
Qualifications
  • Fully licensed OAA Architect; ideally licensed with experience in mixed-use residential projects
  • Proficient in Revit; portfolio includes low to high-rise residential projects
  • Experience from schematic design through to close-out; ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
