Summary

Are you a safety-conscious equipment operator with extensive experience operating multiple types of equipment? We are expanding our team in Yellowknife, NT! This role involves working with our crews across various job sites and equipment types. It offers a great opportunity for an experienced operator to contribute to diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment such as Excavators, Loaders, Skid Steers, etc., safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections, and clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with ground personnel during excavation and pipe installation, ensuring proper depth and grade.
  • Responsible for placing water, storm, and sanitary sewer pipes in excavations.
  • Follow instructions from ground crew.
  • Cut grade efficiently to maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure work complies with OH&S standards.
  • Operate equipment on public roads with awareness of surroundings.
  • Understand issues related to ground disturbance and rigging procedures for pipes and manholes, ensuring safety during lowering operations.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Train employees in safe and efficient equipment operation.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Working Conditions
  • Weather-dependent schedule, Monday to Saturday, up to 12 hours/day. Overtime paid per local employment standards.
  • Possible accommodations, Live Out Allowance, and Flight Reimbursement.
  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt exposure.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
  • Must comply with drug and alcohol testing policies.
