Trouw Nutrition is hiring…seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Swine Nutritionist to play a pivotal role in supporting our St. Marys, ON sales team and technical advisors with expert nutritional guidance. In this role, you will ensure the highest nutritional standards across our product portfolio while driving innovation in animal health, wellbeing, and productivity. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing diet formulations, enhancing performance, and promoting a deeper understanding of swine nutrition’s impact. About The Role

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support and training to sales representatives, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to customers.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for all their nutritional inquiries and challenges.
3. Conduct on-farm consultations and assessments to evaluate herd performance, nutritional deficiencies, and economic performance.
4. Formulate new diets and update current diets as requested by sales team and customers.
5. Engage in customer negotiations by addressing ingredient limitations, presenting alternative solutions, identifying underlying needs, and optimizing swine performance to drive successful outcomes.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Animal Science or Animal Nutrition is a must.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience of In-Field swine nutrition or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering results.
3. Strong understanding of swine production systems, including feeding practices, herd management, and performance metrics.
4. Being personable with strong communication skills is essential.
5. Knowledge of livestock production and management and a thorough understanding of the local industry.
6. Strong attention to detail and excellent multitasking skills.
7. Experience with feed formulation software, particularly Brill or Bestmix.

Expectation from the Role:

1. A valid driver’s license is required for this role.
2. Must be able to travel extensively to meet with customers and attend industry events as needed.
3. Must consistently meet deadlines with accountability and efficiency.
