Job description

Nursing Support Services Coordinator (NSSC) - Pediatric Team

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Nursing Support Services Coordinator (NSSC) with the Pediatric Team at the Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized community nursing services for children and youth with complex health needs.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing direct, delegated, and consultative nursing services for clients aged 0-19 with special health care needs.
  2. Assessing children, developing care plans, and coordinating services to support families and community nurses.
  3. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across healthcare and community agencies.
  4. Delegating care tasks, providing consultation, and advocating for service improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • At least three years of recent nursing experience working with pediatric populations, including those with chronic conditions and palliative care.
  • Valid BC Driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of community health nursing, evidence-based pediatric care, and health promotion.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and intercultural skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and health research utilization.
