Responsibilities of a Nursing Supervisor / RN include :

  • Overseeing hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Providing guidance to nursing personnel, managing disciplinary issues, preparing administrative reports, reviewing staffing and budgets, and integrating Nursing Services with other departments.
  • Participating in program development, training, nurse recruitment, and continuing education programs.
  • Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff; assigning duties and coordinating nursing services.
  • Developing nursing protocols and procedures.
  • Providing continuing education and staff development opportunities.
  • Assessing patient needs, participating in nursing care, and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintaining patient healthcare records.
  • Managing supply inventories and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Monitoring employee performance to promote adherence to the company's code of conduct and compliance standards.

Compensation : $36.50 - $57.03 / hour

Qualifications :

  • Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • State-specific requirements as applicable.
  • Valid RN license.
  • BCLS and ACLS certifications.
  • At least 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
