The University of New Brunswick is seeking interns to implement health behaviour strategies in various clinical settings, specifically targeting young families and individuals facing mental health challenges. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and hold active registration. Among several placements, experience in chronic care or mental health is particularly valued. This full-time position offers valuable teaching and clinical exposure in a supportive environment.

In institution and community settings, students will develop and implement strategies to explore, develop, and support positive health behaviours of young families, individuals living with mental health challenges, or chronic health issues.A Bachelor Degree or higher in Nursing and active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick is required; current CPR-HCP (also accept BLS for Healthcare Providers). Recent relevant clinical experience in chronic health and mental health nursing is preferred. Previous teaching experience would be considered an asset.Clinical dates may vary within the term and will be discussed with incumbent. Number of days for clinical time will be calculated to include clinical days and time for evaluation/preparation. Total days/hours will vary depending on group numbers. Number of positions available is dependent upon final class enrolment. You will be required to meet Horizon Health Network placement requirements which may include Criminal Record Check, Immunization requirements and online orientation modules.There are 5 positions available in the following areas and the locations indicated:- One position in Mental Health at DECH 2SE- Two positions in Chronic Care in Fredericton area- One position in Chronic Care at URV 2N- One position in Maternity at DECH 3NWPlease indicate on your cover letter which placement you are applying for.
