Reporting directly to the Client Service Manager, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is an unregulated member of the interprofessional health care team who provides ongoing client care. The HCA observes, monitors, and reports on client status/condition, including changes in physical and emotional status. The HCA ensures that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This position delivers prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure, maintaining professional and ethical standards at all times, and performs other related duties as required.
EQuaL (Enabling Quality of Life) is for adults aged 18 to 64 with disabilities related to diseases or conditions, such as multiple sclerosis or brain injury, requiring full-time support in a continuing care centre.
