Position Details

• Position Status: Temporary Part Time (Term Ends: August 31, 2025)
• Location: Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre, Renal 3 East (CCC)
• Hours: 63.60 FTE: 0.82
• Shift: Evenings (1500-2315/1500-2230)
• Union: AUPE
• Rate of Pay: $20.77 - $26.02
• PCN: FAN3ENA019

Position Summary

Reporting to the Client Service Manager, the Health Care Aide (HCA) provides ongoing client care, observes and reports on client status, ensures medication administration as per policies, and maintains professional standards. Responsible for other duties as required.

Program Summary

EQuaL (Enabling Quality of Life) supports adults 18-64 with disabilities requiring full-time support. Chronic Complex Care supports adults with complex diseases or life-threatening illnesses, including those on dialysis or requiring respiratory support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an Alberta-recognized HCA program
• Effective communication in English
• Physical ability to manage lifting, transferring, and repositioning clients
• Active registration in the Alberta HCA Directory

Experience

• Healthcare facility experience is an asset
• Program-specific training/experience is an asset
