Reporting directly to the Client Service Manager, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is an unregulated member of the interprofessional health care team who provides ongoing client care. The HCA observes, monitors, and reports on client status/condition, including changes in physical and emotional status. The HCA ensures that changes are reported to the RN or LPN.
This position delivers prescribed medications accurately per policy and maintains professional and ethical standards at all times. Responsible for other duties as required.
EQuaL (Enabling Quality of Life) – for adults aged 18-64 with disabilities related to diseases or conditions, requiring full-time support in a continuing care centre.
Chronic Complex Care – for adults with complex diseases or life-threatening illnesses, including those on hemodialysis or requiring specialized respiratory support.
