The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Client Service Manager, the Health Care Aide (HCA) is an unregulated member of the interprofessional healthcare team who provides ongoing client care. The HCA observes, monitors, and reports on client status and condition, including changes in physical and emotional states. The HCA ensures that changes are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
This position delivers prescribed medications accurately according to policy and procedures. In line with Carewest’s Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies, this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Program Summary:
Complex Care – for frail seniors requiring an interdisciplinary team to maintain and improve quality of life in safe, comfortable, and supportive environments. Carewest offers both secured and unsecured units.
