Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • The Nursing Assistant is a vital member of our interdisciplinary patient care team.
  • Supports patients with activities of daily living and performs delegated patient care skills within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
  • Maintains and demonstrates knowledge, skill, and ability in delegated tasks.
  • Supports department operational needs and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Applicants Must Have:

  • Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation.
  • Certification in CPR/BLS.
  • Must have one of the following:
    • Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or long-term care facility.
    • Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months.
    • Nursing student or pre-nursing status as shown on transcripts.
    • Current employee with Kettering Health.
Preferred Qualifications

Would Prefer Applicants Have:

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Customer service skills.
