Job summary

Ross’ Nurserymen in Chatham, Ontario is seeking a Nursery labourer. The role is seasonal or full-time with day and weekend shifts. Tasks include greenhouse cleaning, weeding, pruning, soil preparation, potting, transplanting, pest/disease reporting, and maintaining plants and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean greenhouse areas.
• Weed beds and surrounding landscaping.
• Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants.
• Mix and prepare soils for planting.
• Pot and repot plants as needed.
• Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
• Report signs of insect or disease damage.
• Water and maintain plants, lawns and gardens.
• Keep the work area clean.

• The candidate will be responsible for greenhouse cleaning.
