UPCCs are dedicated to delivering timely, person-centered, culturally safe, trauma-informed longitudinal and urgent primary care. Our model supports holistic, team-based care involving physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, clinical counsellors, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, focusing on continuous, coordinated care for all community members, including vulnerable and medically complex populations.

Our Nurse Practitioner Residency Program offers a unique postgraduate experience to elevate your skills and facilitate your transition into independent practice.
You will also participate in skills development in areas such as ECG interpretation, Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), suturing, and x-ray interpretation, supported by a New Graduate NP Community of Practice.
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing diseases, initiating treatments, and prescribing medications within statutory and employer standards. The role involves autonomous and interdependent practice within an interdisciplinary team, including making referrals, developing care plans, and participating in policy development and research to improve health outcomes.
Education and Experience: Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with BCCNM; recent relevant clinical experience.
