A health services organization in Canada seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary health care in partnership with Garden River First Nation and Thessalon First Nation. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing, has at least three years of related experience, and is comfortable within Indigenous communities. Salary Range: $115,198 – $125, 880

The opportunity:Under the direction of the Director of Comprehensive Primary Health Care, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering primary health care services for Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services Inc., specifically for the communities of Garden River First Nation and Thessalon First Nation. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner provides client-centered, comprehensive care to individuals and their families. This role is essential to ensuring accessible, holistic, and culturally appropriate care.

What to expect?Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
