Qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Newcomers Health & Well-Being (IRCC) Program. This part-time position offers a hybrid work model with community and in-office responsibilities, based in Vaughan, Ontario.

Pay Range

CA$57.16/hr - CA$61.18/hr, based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide primary health care including physical health assessments, screenings, and mental health services.
  2. Manage clients’ health concerns, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals.
  3. Conduct community visits and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
  • Certificate from the Council of Ontario University Program in Nursing Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program or recognized equivalent.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • 1-3 years RN experience, preferably in withdrawal management.
  • Excellent assessment, clinical judgment, and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and psychotropic medications.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license and insurance.
