Job description

Nurse Practitioner Disability Assessment & Support

Location: Kingston, Ontario | $75.00 per hour | Full-time or Part-time

Ready to do meaningful work in a place that truly values your skills and well-being?

At Echelon Wellness, we're not your typical clinic. We're a tight-knit, values-driven team focused on delivering physical and mental health care to Canada's Military Veterans & RCMP. Every treatment we provide is rooted in compassion, integrity, and excellence.

We believe healthcare should be human-first, for both our patients and our practitioners. When you join Echelon, you're stepping into a workplace that prioritizes support, collaboration, and balance. You'll have the freedom to grow your career while doing work that truly matters.

Echelon Wellness is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support our Kingston clinic in a non-primary care

capacity. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for conducting disability assessments,

preparing documentation, and completing administrative duties. Clinical coverage will be required only on

a short-term basis to support the team when other NPs are on vacation or otherwise unavailable. All

relevant training will be provided.

This is a hybrid and flexible role with in-person attendance required two days per week for testing and

assessments, and the opportunity to work remote and outside of traditional business hours for the

remainder of the week to complete documentation and report writing responsibilities of this role. This is a

fantastic opportunity for those with other professional or personal commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured clinical assessments and prepare supporting documentation
  • Provide temporary clinical coverage for NPs on leave or vacation
  • Complete paperwork and maintain electronic health records associated with assessments
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, confidential, and compliant with relevant standards and
  • privacy legislation
  • Evaluate individuals' functional limitations resulting from physical impairments
  • Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) to assess individuals' physical abilities in relation to occupational or daily living demands
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals at the clinic

What We're Looking For

  • Current certificate of registration as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Master of Science in Nursing (or a related graduate degree, preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce clear and accurate clinical documentation
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible, partially remote schedule
  • Proficient in electronic medical records and digital health documentation tools
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Additional liability coverage required; relevant professional memberships are considered an asset
