Interior Health is seeking a term specific part time (0.5 FTE) Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic Cardiac team at Royal Inland Hospital in beautiful British Columbia.
Salary Range: Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Assess and diagnose undifferentiated diseases and conditions, provide treatment, and prescribe medications in line with the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice and regulatory standards.
- Care Management: Monitor ongoing care, order diagnostic investigations, interpret results, and develop tailored treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Patient Communication: Establish care priorities, provide follow-up treatment, and communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and prognoses.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribing Medication: Prescribe medications within legal and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical treatments.
- Leadership and Supervision: Lead and guide other nursing and healthcare personnel. Provide education, supervision, and performance evaluations to support professional development.
- Research and Innovation: Contribute to research aimed at enhancing patient care and advancing nursing practices.
- Health Promotion: Lead health promotion activities and screenings, focusing on at-risk populations to prevent illness and promote well-being.
- Education and Mentorship: Facilitate interdisciplinary education through case presentations, mentoring, and collaboration in clinical and community settings.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate policies related to nursing, interdisciplinary care, and health system practices.
- Palliative and Long-Term Care: Serve as the most responsible provider for patients in palliative, hospice, and long-term care settings when required.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as necessary to support patient care and organizational goals.
