An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the changing landscape of addiction and mental health services in rural Alberta. The North Zone opioid dependency program (ODP) has four sites that you will support virtually. As a member of the multidisciplinary ODP Team, you will be supplying integral clinical support services to the ODP service, team, and clients. Your duties will include assessing clients with chronic and persistent mental illness and concurrent disorders, providing therapeutic interventions, advocating, and supporting clients with psychosocial supports. This position can be located anywhere in the North Zone, but preferred locations include Grande Prairie, High Prairie, Bonnyville or Fort McMurray. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in addiction and mental health. Experience in opioid agonist therapy.
