Job summary

Echelon Wellness Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our patient-focused team in the Bedford region and multiple locations across Canada.

The successful candidate will provide assessment and care, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative practice model. A Master of Science in Nursing or related field is preferred, along with NP registration and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of registration with the applicable governing body as a nurse practitioner in good standing.
• Master of Science in Nursing or a Masters in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Ability to conduct clients’ interviews and examinations, develop and implement client centered treatment plans.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in a collaborative practice model.
• Effective leadership capabilities, including teaching, mentoring, and supporting shared care models.
• Additional professional liability coverage is required; professional memberships are a plus.
• Experience working independently with strong organizational skills.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Full-time

Bedford (Nova Scotia), Edmonton (Alberta), Fredericton (New Brunswick), Kingston (Ontario), Ottawa (Ontario), St. John's (Newfoundland)

Full-time, Permanent

Pay:

$75.00 per hour

Additional pay:

$75.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Current certificate of registration with the applicable governing body as a nurse practitioner in good standing.
• Master of Science (Nursing) or a Masters in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Ability to conduct clients’ interviews and examinations, develop and implement client centered treatment plans, while integrating evidence-based health promotion practices
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to function within a collaborative practice model.
• Effective leadership capabilities, including but not exclusive to teaching, mentoring, and supporting shared care models.
• Additional professional liability coverage is required; additional relevant professional memberships are an asset.
• Experience/confidence in working independently, with high degree of self-direction and strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) including conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to use information technology (e.g. Microsoft Office and electronic medical records).
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
