We are seeking candidates like you for the position of Occupational Health Nurse located in Kitchener, Cambridge, or Guelph, Ontario. Our schedules are Monday to Friday, 4 to 8 hours per day. We are looking for both full-time and part-time positions.

Job Description

Join our team where you will be responsible for conducting pre-placement medicals, supporting medical monitoring programs, participating in return-to-work programs, and providing first aid. This position focuses on assisting employers with delivering effective return-to-work solutions in accordance with Apex and client corporate policies and procedures, while supporting our shared goal of delivering innovative employee health programs and solutions to our clients.

What we look for:

  • Strong case management skills from intake to resolution for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. This role is focused on people and ensuring a positive return-to-work experience for our clients’ employees.
  • A passion for delivering excellent occupational health and clinical healthcare services at a specific work site.
  • Experience using an electronic medical record system, with excellent data entry skills.
  • Ability to adapt to many tasks in a day and perform them effectively.
  • Compliance orientation with knowledge of occupational health legislation (WSIA, AODA, OHSA, HRC, etc.).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn. At Apex, no job is too big or too small.
  • Registered Nurse with experience in Occupational Health Nursing.
