Shepherd Village is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Nurse Manager - Evening.

What You Will Work On

Under the direction of the Director of Care, the NURSE MANAGER will develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate Resident care services, supervise, direct and evaluate subordinate nursing staff, and ensure Resident and family satisfaction through continuous quality improvement initiatives.

How You’ll Create Impact

  • Ensure care services are delivered in a manner keeping with the Resident's, and their families, expectations, and in compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and professional standards.
  • Oversee the effective allocation of financial, human and other resources, ensuring departmental needs are met in a fiscally responsible manner.

What Are Your Skills And Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of long-term care experience, required
  • Minimum 3 years previous management, or equivalent experience, required
  • Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and practices
  • Familiar with workplace investigations and incident reporting
  • Possesses excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong documentation and computer skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills in English language required
  • Ability to stay organized and effectively communicate with others in a high demand environment
  • Excellent organizational traits, positive approach, patience, empathy and tactfulness
  • Flexible to work a weekend rotation
