Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Nursing, this position is responsible for managing and directly overseeing nursing operations and staffing of specific clinics within the Infusion network of the applicable region.

The Nurse Manager will recruit, hire, and assign trained nurses to operate in designated regions. They are responsible for evaluating all employees within the region and are required to travel to all clinics. The Nurse Manager will also perform infusions/injections in clinics when scheduling issues arise.

This position ensures performance management of nursing teams to deliver consistent, safe, and patient-oriented care, adhering strictly to protocols and procedures. It is responsible for delivering high-quality, fiscally responsible care aligned with Accreditation Canada standards, maintaining patient safety, mitigating risks, and thoroughly investigating incidents.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage day-to-day clinical operations of nursing staff within the region.
  2. Provide clinical leadership to ensure nursing competency, promote evidence-based practices, and foster continuous improvement.
  3. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to recruit and onboard nursing staff, including managing orientation and infusion training.
  4. Evaluate nursing staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance gaps through training, counseling, or disciplinary actions.
  5. Participate in incident investigations and conduct clinical audits to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and legislation.
  6. Stay informed on current trends and legislation affecting nursing practices and collaborate with Nurse Educators on clinical forms and education.
  7. Monitor stakeholder, patient, and staff feedback; implement solutions and process improvements.
  8. Ensure clinics operate efficiently and financially, tracking operational KPIs for continual improvement.
  9. Maintain safety, legality, and ethical conduct within the unit, ensuring proper and safe equipment and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with physicians for patient care planning and work with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent customer service.
General Duties
  1. Coordinate presentations, site visits, and develop service goals and new programs.
  2. Manage resources effectively to meet objectives.
  3. Maintain industry knowledge and inform the company of market and competitive changes.
  4. Coordinate activities with operations and management and contribute to practice committees.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Registered Nurse licensure specific to the region.
  • 6+ years of professional experience, including supervisory experience in a clinical or hospital setting, with proven leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Effective leadership, clinical expertise, and operational skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and overcome challenges strategically.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Ability to lead change, coach, and mentor teams.
  • Diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license for travel requirements.
  • Knowledge of Provincial Regulatory requirements.
