A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Mental Health & Substance Use Nurse to join a multidisciplinary Intensive Case Management Team. Under the general direction of the team leader or designate, the nurse serves as a Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Nurse within a multidisciplinary Intensive Case Management Team. Services are primarily provided in community settings, but may also occur in facility settings as needed. The nurse provides core mental health and addiction services, including assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and support, in partnership with clients, families, and community health resources. Based on an identified client rehabilitation plan, the nurse develops, plans, implements, and maintains a full range of clinical services and client-centered rehabilitation programs.
Graduation from a recognized nursing program plus at least two years of adult or child/youth MHSU nursing experience. A minimum of six months supporting clients with substance use issues in a community setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN. Current CPR certification is required.
