Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Richmond, BC is seeking a licensed nurse to join our local store team and help deliver health, beauty and convenient services to the community. You will take blood samples and assess vaccination needs, including influenza, COVID and travel vaccines, to provide indicated immunizations.

You'll offer services for hypertension, diabetes and anticoagulant therapy, instruct patients on using glucometers and blood pressure devices, and welcome customers with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Be familiar with the PIQ (Protocole d’immunisation du Québec — Québec immunization protocol) and travel health

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and provide vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster
• Identify and offer vaccines based on travel destination
• Offer services for hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy
• Provide instruction on using glucometers, blood pressure monitors, etc.
• Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner
• Work with the pharmacy team to develop the nursing service offering
